Freedom from Anxiety

I am so blessed to introduce my beautiful baby sister Lindsay who is the guest writer for today's post.

What many people don't know about me is that I used to struggle with anxiety really badly. I would struggle in silence to the point where I would get physically ill. HOWEVER I've decided that I'll no longer give anxiety power over me, when there is NOTHING TOO HARD FOR MY GOD!! So every morning I wake up making an active decision that today will be the day in the Mighty and Powerful name of Jesus, that I will be fully delivered from all anxiety. I wake up every morning having to surrender my own ways and my own plans for His. His will is what's best for me. Believing EVERY word that the Bible says, I declare & prophesy what God says about me. It gives me back the power over my mind (The sound mind He gave me). Because I believe, I choose to remind myself DAILY.

"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17).

On that principle, I repeat Philipians 4: 6-7 DAILY!!! "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

It requires me surrendering every ounce of thinking i am in control DAILY!

(Proverbs 3:5 -6) "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

I choose to submit to God EVERYDAY! Surrendering your life to Christ, doesn't automatically mean the things you dealt with before aren't going to still be a problem, now you just have the ultimate problem solver on Your side. He reminds you daily that He is in control. That you can trust Him, He will be faithful.

We are FREE from the bondage of anxiety, sin and shame. His spirit lives in you, therefore you are FREE. (2 Corinthians 3:17).

We were called to be free, so why aren't we walking in our freedom? (Galatians 5:13).

The scripture has LOCKED UP EVERYTHING under the control of sin. (Galatians 3:22).

It is easy to think that this problem I am worrying about is too big or small for God. But God cares about EVERY detail in your life. Trust me.

Psalm 138:8 "The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands."

Take solace in knowing that every detail of your life has already been written out.

"Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." (Psalm 139:16).

He is in control and He is working together for Our Good. (Romans 8:28).

The Lord has set you apart, He has appointed you, He is planning on doing a work in you. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5). I also constantly have to remind myself of this. It requires me to wake up every single morning, and declare that I am confident that I will see the goodness of the Lord today. To not look at the circumstances but to look at the size of my God, and therefore determine the size of my praise. WORSHIP HIM!! Praise Him in all things, whether anxious or whether sad or whether fulfilled.

As I mature as a Christian, it becomes clearer to me that anxiety is a tool Satan uses against us. In our own human faults, we sit here worrying about things that maybe won't even happen. We will worry about things we don't even have control over. Why give the enemy a foothold? The point is I surrender control to God, because i am not in control. So every morning I will keep waking up knowing that God is good. He is in control! When God is in situation things change. I will worship Him through my anxiety, I will ask Him for that peace that perfect peace. Trust that He is an on time God. He has been doing this for a long time.He knows and He cares about every small detail of your life, even the ones you haven't thought of. Trust God in ALL your ways. Trust that one day you will NOT wake up anxious and until then, praise Him.

Jesus, I trust that the plans you have for my life are good. Lord, I trust you with every small detail of my life.

I thank you for the things that I can control, (My praise and adoration of you, and how i respond in circumstances).

Thank you for renewing my mind. Thank You for Your ultimate good purposes in allowing my weaknesses or failures to still be used for my good and your divine purpose.

I believe that i'm not defined by my anxiety or my sense of fear and need to control, but that my identity is securely placed in you and Your love.

Thank you Lord that my anxiety, fear, shame and spirit of control were also nailed to that cross.

You paid it all and I will forever praise You for You are good. I believe that one day I will not be anxious about anything.

I believe I will overcome and will be a transformed.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

lots of love,

Lindsay M. ❤️
